The Advanced Learning Partnership is delighted to announce the fifth year of the Senior Leader’s Programme which follows on from the success of previous years. This course will be delivered by Headteachers of our Alliance schools and will prepare participants for the job of, and application to, a Senior Leadership Team.
This course comprises of six core modules. Where possible, we hope to run the modules as twilight sessions at various Alliance schools, adhering to social distancing rules. However, some sessions will be held online instead.
In addition to the taught part of this course, participants will be expected to complete a small project, overseen by a member of their current Senior Leadership team. This should be a project which has clear outcomes and which allows them to showcase their school wide leadership skills. You will be asked to supply a draft title for your project, together with the name and role of your school mentor for your registration on this course to be completed.
The Senior Leadership Programme also includes a day where participants will be interviewed for a fictitious position as Assistant Headteacher. This process will include a number of realistic interview tasks as well as an interview conducted by current Alliance Headteachers. Thorough, individualised, feedback from this process will be provided.
