The Governors of this highly successful, partially selective, mixed school invite applications for the post of Teacher of French and Spanish. We seek a highly motivated and energetic candidate to join our very successful and very well resourced Modern Languages department as part of a team of specialist language teachers (teaching French, German and Spanish) and language assistants. The vast majority of students are expected to take a language at GCSE and French and Spanish are very popular options. You will also need to be able to teach students up to and including A level in at least one of the languages. Energy, a fantastic sense of humour, and the desire to do all you can to help our students achieve their potential are all essential ingredients in the successful candidate.
In 2024 A Level examinations:
● 36% of A Level French results were graded A* with 100% graded A*-A.
● 82% of A Level Spanish results were graded A* with 100% graded A*-B.
In 2024 GCSE examinations:
● 44% of GCSE French results were grade 9, with 91% achieving a grade 9 - 5.
● 84% of GCSE Spanish results were grade 9-7, with 96% achieving a grade 9 - 5.
